Our Vision
At Northeast Pit Rescue and Sanctuary (NEPRAS) we seek to rescue, rehab, and house animals that have been subjected to abuse, neglect, and/or surrender situations including high-kill shelters.
We concentrate on the “Bully Breeds” because, in our opinion, they are the most misunderstood breed out there.
No matter the breed, we take time to understand their abilities & work to teach to their strengths.

Our Mission
Through coordinated community efforts we rescue, rehabilitate, and connect vulnerable animals to loving homes and families. Utilizing intentional community-based education and outreach techniques we cultivate a deeper understanding and trust between both the rescued animals and the communities in which they are placed. We proudly give these animals a second chance at a better life.
We are a foster-run rescue with all of our transitioning pets living with volunteer fosters until they find their “fur-ever” home.
For every new foster that opens their home, we rescue another dog in need.
